Biography

I’m Eetu Vekki, an artist based in Helsinki, and I work across various artistic disciplines, including visual arts, sound, music, and performing arts. I work both individually and in collaborations, combining knowledge from my background in music, sound design, and theater with my education in fine arts. In recent years, my artistic outputs have been visual artworks, concerts, performances and sound installations.

I have a fascination with the forces of nature: how we as humans perceive and react to natural phenomena beyond our comprehension, how the perception of nature shapes us, and how, in return, we shape the environment. I aim to evoke new perspectives on the beauty and fragility of our surroundings and invite people to contemplate on their perceptions and place within the broader context of our shared environments.

I’ve graduated from the Fine Arts Academy in Helsinki with erasmus studies at Iceland University of Arts in 2020, and previously trained as a pianist at both the Pop & Jazz Conservatory and Metropolia University in Helsinki.
